What makes Profhilo different
Each 2 ml syringe holds 64 mg of hyaluronic acid, one of the highest concentrations of any injectable: 32 mg of long-chain and 32 mg of short-chain hyaluronic acid, bonded together by heat rather than by chemical cross-linkers. The manufacturer calls these hybrid cooperative complexes. The result is a gel that is fluid enough to spread evenly under the skin from a few points, yet lasts long enough to keep stimulating the cells around it.
Fillers are designed to stay where they are placed and hold a shape. Profhilo does the opposite: it disperses, hydrates the whole area and acts as a signal to the fibroblasts that produce collagen and elastin. The change comes from your own tissue, which is why faces do not look altered.
What the evidence shows
A 2026 systematic review of nine studies with 278 participants found improvements in skin laxity, elasticity, hydration and density on the face, neck, inner arms, abdomen, knees and hands, along with lower wrinkle and facial volume-loss scores. Side effects were mild: bruising, swelling, a pinching sensation or a small bump, usually gone within 72 hours.
Post-marketing data covering more than a million patients treated since 2018 recorded side effects in 0.034% of them, mostly swelling, redness and discomfort at the injection points.

Profhilo Structura is a denser version with 45 mg of hyaluronic acid, made for a different problem. With age, and often after significant weight loss, the fat pads in the side of the cheek and in front of the ears shrink. The face looks hollow at the sides and starts to sag toward the jowls.
Structura is placed into those fat compartments to restore them, which gives a lifting effect from the side of the face rather than volume at the front. It works well alongside classic Profhilo: Structura for support, Profhilo for skin quality.

What treatment involves at Alpha Medical Limassol
